THE ROLE OF EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN JERUSALEM IN CRISIS MANAGEMENT FROM AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE “THE CORONA PANDEMIC AS A MODEL”

Abstract This paper deals with the concept of the crisis, its stages, preparation for it, and its management, as well as the ethics of its management, based on the scientific knowledge and administrative experience of educational leaders, as well as using the directives of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s hadith and Sunnah. The study reached a set of results, which are that one of the most important practices of educational leadership to manage the crisis are: cooperating with teachers to manage crises, to involve the local community and the students’ parents to ensure that learning occurs in spite of the crisis, the organization of work In a way that reduces pressure. There is no statistically significant relationship between gender, educational qualification, years of experience, and between the ability to manage crises. Principals do not have a clear approach based on the Islamic perspective managing the crisis. Keywords: educational leadership - crisis management - emergency plan -
