THE IMPORTANCE OF TRUSTWORTHINESS IN QURAN AND SUNNAH AND ITS EFFECT IN THE INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIETY

Abstract Trustworthiness is one of the highest moral values on which the Islamic Sharia is built. It safeguards rights, and its impact is evident in the individual and society. The problem addressed in this research is: How did the Quran and the Sunnah reinforce the character of trustworthiness in individuals and society? What is the impact of trustworthiness in the individual and society? This research aims to demonstrate that the Quran and the Sunnah came to build a comprehensive society in its worship and transactions, and the effect of practicing trustworthiness in the individual and society. The research follows an inductive approach in tracing the Quran and the prophetic texts and an analytical approach in analysing these texts. Through this study, several results were reached, including that trustworthiness encompasses various domains, including creed, worship, social, and economic aspects, and the impact of fulfilling trustworthiness in the individual and society.
