IMMORALITY IN SOCIETY AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE AND METHODOLOGY IN THE POSTCORONA PANDEMIC ERA

Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Ibrahim Aljahsh

Abstract:
Significant societal changes have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic, including an increase in immorality. The Islamic perspective on immorality emphasizes individual accountability and responsibility for one's actions. It also emphasizes the significance of pursuing righteousness and avoiding sinful conduct. An Islamic approach to addressing immorality in society would emphasize moral education and character development, as well as community-based interventions that promote positive behavior and discourage immoral behavior. In the era following the pandemic, Islamic teachings and principles can be utilized to address specific issues that have emerged or been exacerbated by the pandemic. For instance, the economic difficulties caused by the pandemic have resulted in a rise in financial crimes such as fraud and embezzlement. Individuals can be taught the significance of ethical behavior in financial transactions using Islamic teachings on honesty, integrity, and fairness in business. Likewise, the social isolation caused by the pandemic has contributed to a rise in depression and mental health issues. To address these issues, Islamic teachings on the significance of community, social support, and mental and emotional health can be utilized. In addressing immorality in society, particularly in the post-corona pandemic era, a perspective and methodology based on Islam can provide valuable guidance. It emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility, moral education, and community-based interventions in order to restore and preserve the moral fabric of society.
