THE STATUS OF AL-AQSA MOSQUE AND THE IMPACT OF THE OCCUPATION ATTACKS

Abstract:
This study has determined the importance of Al-Aqsa Mosque for Palestinians and Muslims due to the implication of the verse from the Holy Quran that translates into: "Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing" (Al-Isra 17:1) The Israeli desire to control Al-Aqsa mosque is still present until today. The increase of the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the Rock. The incursion of the Israeli settlers to Al-Aqsa mosque under the Israeli soldiers is almost a daily event. Our duty as Muslims it to prove the importance of Al-Aqsa mosque for the Palestinians and Muslims and their doctrine. This paper is considered very important for the researchers and those who work with Jerusalem’s issue, the Palestinian and Islamic matters. This paper shows the centrality of the Al-Aqsa mosque. The "Deal of the Century" gave the Israeli Temple groups and the National-Religious Right under the leadership of Netanyahu, the justification to escalate their attacks on Al-Aqasa Mosque. This accord adopted the Israeli vision of a solution towards all issues related to Al-Aqsa Mosque. The aggressive attitude of the Temple groups towards Al-Aqsa became the same as the official position adopted by the United States of America for the first time in the conflict's history. The spread of the Corona virus pandemic came to preserve the Zionist rise in controlling Al-Aqsa and the official Jordanian retreat in front of it. The Israeli occupation pretended to show a parallel attitude towards opening of Al-Aqsa in front of the Muslims and the Zionist intruders on the same day. Israeli soldiers began imposing new measures in Al-Aqsa that included clearing the incursions paths to the settlers.
