IBN AL-JAZRI’S METHODOLOGY IN HIS BOOK TAQRIB AL-NASHR AN ANALYTICAL STUDY
ABSTRACT
Research problem: There was no researcher who did either the analytical study for the book “Tarqeeb Al Nasyr” of Imam Ibn Al Jazariyy, or the methodological study, as well as the merits and criticisms on it. Purpose of this research: To highlight the methodology of the book and its merits and criticisms. And, as for my approach in this research, I followed the analytical and historical methods. Results of the research: I found out that there are about twenty two (22) of his selections and about 232 of those whom he singled out. Among the merits of “Al Tarqeeb” are: Its accuracy, simplicity and the sensitivity to the meaning of words. And as of the critics, there are some issues where Imam Ibn Al Jazariyy mentions most of the ways of narration with the exception of one or more, sometimes he attributes some ways of reading to a particular book. And upon referring to the same book, we do not find the issue in it. Imam Ibn Jazariyy also mentioned in his book some of the prohibited ways of reading there was no notification about it. My advice to the researcher: To abbreviate the book “Taqreeb Al Nasyr” by deleting the narrations that are not read and to support the online learning.
