ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE AND ITS EFFECT IN PROTECTION FROM TRIAL
Abstract
Seeking for Islamic knowledge as well as teaching people and guiding them in their religious affairs is one of the most important ways to be protected from trials. While ignorance and lack of jurisprudential knowledge is one of the top reasons of falling into trials. However, when speaking of trials here, we mean trials of suspicion and desires for both are the most common dangerous things that can afflict a Muslim. Hence, there lies the problem of the research. While manifesting the way of Rasululah, and that of those who followed him among the scholars by stressing on the importance of knowledge, and its effect in protection from trials will lead the Muslim community towards understanding the religious duties that is expected of them, as well as protecting them from destruction. And there lies the importance of the research which goal is to tackle one of the great problems that can lead to many misfortunes: lack of knowledge. And this can be achieved through explanations of what Islamic knowledge is, its virtues, the stand of Islam on it, the danger of tribulations and falling into it, Reasons behind falling into tribulations, types of tribulations, its advantages and wisdom behind it, as well as explanations on how Islamic knowledge can be a means to be safeguarded from tribulations. I followed in my research the analytical method with references to text from revelation and the discussions of the earlier scholars, hence, I came out with the following results:One of the best ways to be saved from tribulations is through seeking for Islamic knowledge, teaching it and acting upon it. Seeking for Islamic knowledge will increase a believer's faith, keep his heart steadfast and strengthen his reliance on Allah. The act of seeking for an Islamic knowledge is more encouraged during the time of tribulations, because one of the common reasons behind it is the spread of ignorance and lack of knowledge.
