Abstract
Qur’anic comma is a logical part of speech context. Moreover، it provides additional meanings the context needs and requires them. It has many impacts in Qur’an’s interpretation، parsing، choice of the meanings، and many more. Therefore،Al-Farraa in his book called “Quran’s Meanings”، contributed in demonstrating and clarifying these meanings so he is considered to be one of the first exegetists of Qur’an who were concerned about the impact of the Qur’anic comma in Quran’s context. This impact might be ignored by some exegetists، which is the research problem. Highlighting this impact which was created by Al-Farraa is widely significant to demonstrate his methodology and approach in applying it on the Qur’anic context، which reflects the importance of the topic. This research aims at demonstrating the role of the Qur’anic comma and detailing its uses in choosing the Qur’anic meanings،Qur;anic modes of recitation، parsing aspects and many more. I used the descriptive and analytical methodology for the samples which were mentioned by Al-Farraa about using the Qur’anic comma in modifying the Qur’anic texts. The results came as follows. The consideration of the Qur’anic commas has a big impact on the interpretation of the Holy Qur’an according to Al-farraa. In addition، Al-Farraa unprecedently demonstrated the impact of the Qur’anic commas in parsing and accordance with classic speech of Arabs، and the preference of a recitation to another. Al-Farraa confirms that the Qur’anic commas are reasons of implied omission at the end of verses. Moreover، considering the the Qur’anic commas in choice and preference of the Qur’anic context do not allow the imposition of improper interpretation to Allah’s Book. With all that، the Qur’anic commas’ impact can be seen in Tafsir according to Al-Farraa.
