This research aims to clarify the spoilers and obstacles of human and civilization development in the light of Quran according to Sayyid in His Tafseer Fī Dhilāli al Qurʾān. The problem statement of this research is that the spoilers of human and civilization development in the light of Quran as mentioned in Tafseer Fī Dhilāli al Qurʾān need to be identified and highlighted, the Quranic methodology in dealing with those spoilers and obstacles also need to be clarified. This research used the inductive and analytical approaches. The findings of the research show that the Qur’anic approach not only develops human and establishes civilization, but rather sets up mechanisms to protect and preserve them from which can interrupt and spoil the development process. In addition, the spoilers and obstacles of human and civilization development according to Tafseer Fī Dhilāli al Qurʾān are divided into two categories, namely: the internal and external.
