OUTPUTS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND ITS SUITABILITY TO THE NEEDS OF THE LABOR MARKET FROM AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY ON GRADUATES OF THE FACULTY OF SHARI’A SCIENCES IN THE SULTANATE OF OMAN
The study aims at finding out the reasons for the phenomenon of job seekers from the graduates of the Faculty of Sharia Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman. The study aimed at diagnosing the impact of the quality of higher education in the fields of curricula and educational services in providing employment opportunities in the Omani market to employ them in achieving greater relevance to the labor market. The researcher used the questionnaire in collecting data to find out the opinions of faculty members in the college and graduates of those seeking job. The results showed a correlation between quality of curricula, educational services and job opportunities. The study recommended that the policy of admission to institutions of higher education be linked to the actual needs necessary, and linking educational policies to the needs of human development plans.
