EXTREMISM AND THE ROLE OF ADVOCACY AND THE ISLAMIC MEDIA IN SOLVING ITS PROBLEMS

The spread of extremist organizations and the support of Western media through international networks, and the use of these new technologies through social media and Internet sites to achieve their goals all helped to spread extremist thought. As Jordan country that is open to social media and as the youth most used to the Internet, this has helped and spread the extremist ideology among young people on whom society depends on its progress and stability. This is the problem of research. This seeks to correct distorted Islamic faith in the minds of young people by correcting society's view of Islam and not linking extremism to it. A statement of the role and responsibility of Islamic advocacy and media in combating extremist ideology and extremist groups. Here is the importance of research. The purpose of this research is to find out the prevalence of religious extremism among Jordanian youth. And uncover the most prominent reasons for the widespread phenomenon of extremism among Jordanian youth. And to identify the role of advocacy and the Islamic media in reducing the spread of extremism. This research shows the following results: The survival of young people from extremism and deviation is in the advice and guidance as well as the adoption of the moderate religion rather than displacement and obscurity. The researcher believes that one of the causes of extremism is the misinterpretation of religion, its purpose and purpose, and the delinquency of extremism and religious extremism in some categories, but they are few and present.
