The concept of scenario planning in modern and contemporary Arab thought is linked to the need of confirming this methodology, showing where does it stands in terms of time and place, and highlighting Islam’s interest in forecasting the future that sets specific principles for using the methodology of future prediction.
This research is considered as a serious attempt to consolidate the concept of scenario planning from the Qur’an and the Sunnah, showcase its effect on making the appropriate decisions, adopt future strategies that achieve the desired performance, and avoid potential risks.
This paper also aims at shedding light on the measures that Sunnah had applied in the context of scenario planning methodology on the bases of studying the similarity between scenario planning and the concept of future prediction. This can be achieved through highlighting the most important occasions from Qur’an and Sunnah from an administrative perspective and investigating if such spots had applied the concept of scenario planning it its initial phase as per Rowland and others.
