The social participation is considered as a link between family and school. It plans and discusses the educational programs that school utilizes to educate students through following up their educational progress and solving their problems. Education is a social affair that school, family and society must take role in. Therefore, school works as a social and educational association if it does not follow the traditional educational system that depends only on teaching students traditional curriculum. So, school started to improve its educational and teaching programs in order to increase its efficiency, and establish social programs that serve the community by solving the social problems. Parents' participation in the educational process is considered a key role that facilitates improving the educational process.
This research focuses on studying both family and school role in achieving the social participation. It attempts to answer the following question: what is the role of family and school in achieving the social participation? In order to answer this question, the aim of this study has been identified as to understand the relationship between the two variables, and identify other independent variables that affect the study. The originality of the current research relies on studying the relationship between two important variables in current field of social studies. This study will depend on descriptive method that focuses on theoretical approach as well as library sources.
